The Basics

Please let us know if you have any issues operating the stove.

There are two rental units on the property that may be occupied by other guests or the property owner. Please rest assured that each unit has its own designated space and that you are not sharing a common space.

We provide a washer and dryer for your added comfort. Please note that there is one machine that is both a washer and a dryer.  The dryer can be a bit slow and may need to run a couple of cycles depending on the amount of clothes per load. 

Although this unit does not have an oven, it is equipped with a toaster oven for your use during your stay.

Homes in the area are required to be built with special wood in order to be up to "Tsunami Building Standards." Some people are sensitive to the smell of this wood (especially when the temperatures are warm).  

The house has a whole-house fan and air purifier to help mitigate the smell. For these devices to work most efficiently, the windows need to be closed so that the air can be purified.  You are, of course, welcome to open the windows, just know that this will magnify the smell (if any) of the wood

There are noise monitoring devices throughout the rental space.  Please note that this does not pick up words but just the volume of noise.  To help everyone have an enjoyable stay, please be conscientious of your neighbors and abide by quiet hours.

If needed, there is a sofa bed in the living room.  

On the first Wednesday of the month at 10 am, they run a test on the Tsunami sirens. 

You may also hear the fog horn during your stay depending on the direction of the wind. 

There are security camera(s) in exterior areas of the home.  Rest assured there are no cameras inside the home.

There are garbage and recycling bins on the property.  Garbage is picked up weekly on Monday mornings.

Please use the black remote to turn the TV on and off. Use the tan-colored remote to control the channels.  DirectTV is the service.

This house was built per code to Tsunami Standards.  Some people are sensitive to the smell of the wood that is used per these standards. To help mitigate this we have odor elimiators, air purifiers, and whole house fans within the property.
